Here are the Disney Magic Cruise Ship Dinner Menus and
Photos 2002. The Disney Magic
cruise ship has three main restaurants, Parrot Cay, Lumiere's (Jacket Recommended),
& Animator's Palate. You will rotate eating one night at each, rotating on a
predefined schedule, except on any night you have reservations at Palos
(Jacket Recommended), the alternative Italian Restaurant. We did not eat
dinner at Palo's, though we had the Champagne Brunch there. Early seating was 6:00PM & late seating was 8:30PM. We
had late seating. Your main restaurant sequence will be on your Key
to the World Card in a sequence of 3 letters (PLA (our assigned
sequence) would be Parrot Cay, Lumiere's,
Animator's Palate). Your table number will also be on your
Key to the World Card. So, our restaurant sequence for each day was
as follows: Parrot Cay, Lumiere's, Animator's Palate, Parrot Cay,
Lumiere's, Animator's Palate, Parrot Cay. Note, the restaurant assigned
first in your sequence will be scheduled 3 times, and the others only twice.
Also, since it is the last restaurant, it will be the one at which you'll
eat breakfast on your debarkation day unless you eat at the buffet.
I did not manage to get the Disney Magic cruise ship menus
from every night. We found all the dinners to be unexpectedly good. We expected our waiter,
Aleksandra, to provide us with the details regarding the
best
choices and what we should avoid, & she always fearlessly looked out for us with
her suggestions. Our waiter and assistant waiter were the best we've ever
had. Royalty would be fortunate to have them. Captain Hans
Mateboer,
visited all the tables in Lumiere's dining room one night & spent considerable
time at each table. We told him he should consider having our waiter,
Aleksandra, & assistant waiter, Janina as his own as they were the very best.
He said this wasn't the first time he had heard their names. He spent a lot of
time talking to our grandchildren and signed papers for them. We took the
opportunity to mention that it was difficult for whole families to get up early
in the morning for the St. Thomas Immigration Procedures (for all guests). He
said he agreed & was looking into some sort of solution. Prior to his
appearance at the dining room, he had a question & answer session with the
children on the ship. He was the friendliest, warmest, concerned, Captain we've
ever met. Truly an outstanding Captain.
We ate lunch & breakfast only at the Disney Magic cruise ship's
Topsiders Buffet, except for debarkation day when we ate breakfast at Parrot
Cay. The Pizza was one of the best we've had on 18 cruises
(the Disney Wonder cruise ship had the same pizza).
During the 3 days at sea, the 10:15am Disney's Art of Entertaining in Studio C,
was something we were lucky to see. The expert chef demonstrated
preparation of various appetizers, & entrees during these presentations, which
included per chair samples at each table, & one or two wine paring samples with
the food sample.

Aleksandra, our waiter from the Netherlands is happy & competent beyond belief. The two could just as easily be running the ship as waiting on us.
