The photos from Cartagena are below.  We received our cruise documents on 1/9/2004 (17 days before embarkation).    Cartagena is still on the schedule for our January 26, 2003 Panama Canal cruise route (even though most or all of the other lines have removed it from their schedule more than a month ago).

We elected to take MSC Lirica's City Tour excursion.  However, no one at the excursion desk mentioned we would not be able to visit Popa Monastery, due to a yearly celebration taking place there.  We enjoyed the tour, as we have never been to Columbia, the city was beautiful, & we had an excellent, earnest tour guide, Wilbur.  It was very hot, though, & we were thankful to be able to get back onto an air-conditioned bus from time to time.

Louis, our great bus driver.

Walter Garcia, our very earnest & hard working guide. So we don't get lost from our group, we all have stickers attached, which say "WALTER" on them.
